The Division of Critical Care Medicine at USUHS is committed to a mission of clinical service, education and research aimed at enhancing the mission effectiveness of all branches of the military and furthering the understanding of the mechanisms of injury in head trauma. Our clinical and educational efforts are based at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the Neurological/Neurosurgical ICU. Our research programs involve a wide array of techniques centered on elucidating the events of the inflammatory cascade in head injury.
