Mission Statement

To provide outstanding education, research, and consultative service in Biomedical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences. Our primary commitment is supporting medical students, graduates, and post-graduate residents for their CME education in:


• Diagnostic Radiology and Medical Imaging
• Radiologic Anatomy
• Radiologic-Pathologic Correlation
• Radiation Medicine
• Nuclear Medicine
• Radiological Sciences
  -Health Physics
  -Medical Physics

The Department will also provide the highest quality clinical services in Diagnostic Radiology (Medical Imaging), Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Health Physics and Medical Physics to our affiliated Military and Federal facilities. The Department will conduct laboratory and clinical research in Biomedical Imaging, which include Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Radiobiology, Teleradiology, Radiation Oncology, Digital Imaging, and Computer Assisted Instruction.
