The CT scanners are equipped with Imation laser printers. Kodak purchased Imation several years ago. You can find the equipment information on Kodak’s web site.
1. minXray portable – This is the most common x-ray unit in an EMEDs. The mA is fixed at 20 and the maximum kV is 100. The unit does not contain batteries so it must be plugged in to operate. Use CAUTION when selecting your electrical source -more than one unit has been ruined by connecting it to local power. It is rated at 110 volts .
2. “GE in a box” – The cold war is over but some of the equipment is still out there. Several single phase, full wave rectification, x-ray units have been mounted in iso shelters and pre-positioned in south-west Asia. These units are a rare commodity in the field but produce excellent radiographs. They are equipped with fluoroscopy, a vertical cassette holder, and a x-ray table with reciprocating grids. The units are no longer produced and electronic manuals are not available for download. Each deployed unit contains hard copy instructions and service manuals.
