44R3 Deployment Skill Set

 

bulletRadiologists assigned to mobility positions must:

 1.      Be credentialed and competent in the following tasks:

a.       Interpretation of plain films

b.      Performance and interpretation of fluoroscopy

c.       Performance and interpretation of ultrasound

d.      Interpretation of computed tomography

2.      Interpret a minimum of 50 ultrasound examinations in the 15 months immediately preceding a deployment window.

3.      Interpret a minimum of 50 CT examinations in the 15 months immediately preceding a deployment window.

4.      Possess a basic familiarity with the radiologic equipment commonly found in the field as well as the basic radiation safety principles that apply during a deployment.  This can be accomplished by completing the “Concept Of Operations” and “Common Equipment at Deployed Facilities” modules on this web.

 

bulletRadiologists assigned to mobility positions should review these modules the week prior to an actual deployment to ensure familiarity with equipment and procedures.

 

bulletRadiologists assigned to mobility positions would benefit from basic computer skills while deployed.  It is in your best interest, but not an absolute requirement, to ensure you understand the fundamentals of personal computing.
