This gross picture demonstrates a cystic lesion in the left cerebellar hemisphere. There is a thin white line surrounding the cavity - representing compressed cerebellar tissue with gliosis. However, the "cyst lining" is NOT composed of neoplastic tissue, accounting for the absence of enhancement.
