Hemangiopericytoma(click on image to magnify)

These two extraaxial masses are suggestive of meningioma. However, there are several features that, while individually non-specific, taken in concert suggest an HPC. The mass on the left (sagittal T1W enhanced MR and gross operative photo) appears extra- or epi-dural (there is a dark line on the INSIDE of the mass, at its interface with the brain). The mass is bossellated, growing in distinct lobules. The lesion on the right, illustrated on enhanced T1W MR in both the coronal and sagittal planes, is a lobulated transdural mass. The extremely rich neovascularity creates serpentine "flow-voids" on the MR scans.
