Accomplishments During Service:

Served twelve years in the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program obtaining the rank of Electronics Technician Chief and the designator "Qualified in Submarines".

As an RHO:

Assisted in the development of the LiF radiation monitors along with personnel from the Navy Surface Warfare Center.

Helped implement the use of the LiF dosimeters for both shore based and fleet activities while stationed at the National Naval Medical Center.

Instituted a medical physics working group to develop quality control procedures for new radiology equipment purchased by the Navy.

Implemented licensure and inspection procedures for Medical Commands under the Navy’s Nuclear Regulatory Commission Master Material license.

Was appointed Director for two Navy Environmental Health Workshops.

Masters Degree in Radiological Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins University.
